My Yahoo adds a Facebook module, snubs Mash, 360, and Kickstart

A post on the My Yahoo! Blog today informs us of the availability of a nice new Facebook module for your page. We all know that Facebook is the social network of choice right now, but what bugs me here is that the My Yahoo team chose provide first party support for Facebook prior to supporting their own social networks. If they are not willing to get behind their own offerings, how can consumers be expected to do so?

That said, the actual module fits in nicely on the page and is very informative. It’s also nice to see Yahoo supporting the tech community’s favorite social networking platform. However, I can’t help but think that the Mash, 360, and Kickstart teams must feel a little bit snubbed.

Now can someone tell me what in tarnation is wrong with Yahoo to keep snubbing us this way?
I just signed up for Mash, while patiently waiting for the Yahoo next big thing after the “Transition” . Now am I expected give up Mash for lack of support and to join Facebook.
Well I don’t want anything to do with Facebook as I am not a teenager.

I was happy with 360 so just fix it and improve it and call it whatever you want to post the “transition” will ya’ Yahoo! But just give us some respect as well. I just can’t believe that after all the drama and turmoil their closing announcement caused – they still just don’t get it! Remarkable!

P.S. I am back from attempting to cross-post this to my Multiply back-up space, but they are apparently closed for maintenace. There sure are a lot of blogging obstacles lately. Harumph.
