Pet Peeves in the Summertime

Well it’s time to vent a bit about another Pet Peeve that is growing and growing and getting out of control.

You see there are some folks that think they know everything about everything. So they attempt to answer every question they see in a self-help forum, whether they know the correct answer or not. These folk just talk to hear themselves talk and gain a feeling of self importance. Unfortunately they don’t seem to realize that they make themselves look  the opposite of what they think they are doing.

It is so annoying to see their posts that demonstrate that they clearly  don’t know the answer to the question, so they will respond that “cats have four legs” to show off their knowledge of cats — when the question they are responding to is about chickens! Get mydrift?

These folks don’t realize that READING is fundamental and COMPREHENSION of what you read is just as important.

I often go to many online support forums whether it be Yahoo, MuIltiply, WordPress, Mozilla et al and I would never stoop to naming names. I will just say that if the shoe fits ….

Sigh — that felt good. This is when a blog can be therapeutic. I know I am not the only one out their that has experienced this because I have gotten personal e-mails from other forum users discussing some of this nonsense that they have seen on particular Support Forums. At least I know I am not alone.
